New Prints in my Etsy Shop!

Yep, they're finally here! I've been working on some new products for the shop lately and I'm SO pleased to show you the three new A4 prints that are now available on Etsy!

I wanted to create some characters that live in the same world as the ones from the greeting cards and illustrating some cute animals in playful scenes just comes naturally to me. I made sure to include three very different scenes so that everyone can find something they like!

These cute illustrations are perfect for children's bedrooms. They're fun and colourful, with a touch of craziness that (I hope!) make them feel unique and look consistent with the greeting cards that are also available in my shop.

Make sure to check them out RIGHT HERE!

Please note that the frames are not included ;)

Happy Halloween!

Are you guys doing anything cool tonight? I've been wanting to buy some pumpkins to carve, but in France, they seem to be SUPER expensive as they're quite rare to find and honestly, I could not bring myself to spend 10€ for two pumpkins, so there you go, no pumpkins this year :(

BUT, we've had my brother staying over with us since last Friday and I've planned a little Halloween feast with some cool films to watch so it's not so bad. I personally love to watch Nightmare Before Christmas on Halloween night as to me this is the best ever. I've seen it so many times and know it almost by heart now but whatever I do, I always come back to this one. It's tradition. It's a bit like watching the Harry Potter films on the run up to Christmas. It puts me into Winter mode and its magical atmosphere makes me feel ready for Christmas.

Anyway,  everything has been going pretty well for us lately and we're both really busy with some great projects so even though we're tired, it's a good tired. We're enjoying the darker evenings lately and we're making sure to take some time to relax, which is much needed as I've been ill a whole week earlier in the month! Now that we're going to be in November from tomorrow, I'm finally embracing the season and I'm ready for the whole whirlwind of Christmas gifts, markets with mulled wine and cosy nights with candles. By the way, I'm getting my Christmas cards ready to be sold on my Etsy shop so watch this space!

I hope you all have a great Halloween and that those with kids will get to steal as many sweets as possible from them (don't forget to film their reaction haha)!

Brand New Etsy Collection!

So, do you remember when I told you I'd like to create a new collection of greeting cards as part of my goals earlier this year? Well, I did it! And I'm SO pleased about it.

It's not that I didn't like the previous cards anymore, but I designed them in 2015 and I felt it was time for a change. Plus, I wanted my new illustrations to reflect better the type of style I like to work on without doing something completely different from the previous cards... and Tadaaa, aren't they cute?!

You can now find 6 new cards, some of them with French, some of them with English and some of them without any message on the front. I figured it would be best to keep them simple so that they would appeal to more people ;)

If everything goes well, I'd like to add some prints at one point! A good friend of mine has always said to me that having them framed and ready to purchase like that would be a good idea. Now that I've moved back to France and I'm a lot more settled in my freelance work, I feel that this would be the right direction :)

So don't waste a minute and have a little nosey RIGHT HERE!

More cuteness in my Etsy shop!

Yep, the collection is growing! I have three brand new cards available in my Etsy shop! Yaaay!

These are cuter than ever, colourful and perfect to go with a special gift. I wanted to introduce other animals than cats over the time, and I decided that an owl could make friends with the cats and bear already in the collection.

I really enjoyed working on these as I feel that I'm getting more confident with my style and my mind is literally bubbling with ideas. Because my goal is to have a wide range of cards in my shop, I decided to not concentrate so much on birthday cards and work on some other type of cards that people need daily. I mean, is there any better way to say thank you than two cute cats sharing a fish?! You get it, I want my new cards to be fun, unique and exactly what you need for a dear friend or loved one.

Enjoy x

New Valentine's Day cards in the shop!

Happy Sunday everyone! With Valentine's Day arriving in just over a month, I couldn't miss the opportunity to work on a couple of cute cards that will help express those deep feelings you have for a special someone :)

Because I still want these cards to be available the rest of the year, I wanted to create some illustrations full of love but not so much that it becomes cheesy and makes you want to vomit. But I'm really pleased with them and I just adore the little shy bear! Hope you do too.

Shop the cards HERE!

10% OFF Just for You

Happy weekend guys! Hope you're having a nice one.

We've decided to slow down this weekend and we enjoyed decorating the house with loads of Christmassy bits! We even had a warm glass of mulled wine and I baked Jamie Oliver's recipe for bread and butter panettone pudding. It was a great success! Completely delicious and indulgent (we actually paired it with brandy cream, yum)! Want the recipe? It's right HERE :)

Amazing cakes apart, today I have a very special offer starting on my Etsy shop just for you! You can now get 10% OFF on the entire shop until the 18th of December with the code  SAVE10. So go on, treat yourself and CLICK HERE to find some unique Christmas and Birthday cards!

Thanks again for supporting my work, always warms my heart :)

New Christmas Cards on Etsy!

I know I know, it's a bit early to add some Christmas cards to my Etsy shop, but I just couldn't wait to show them to you guys! If you are a bit like me, you will be looking for Christmas gifts for the whole family really soon, and greeting cards are one of the most important things to think about (well, to me anyway). I always make sure to find the card that really reflects the person I'm going to give it to, and to be honest, I can rarely find some quirky, funny ones out there that are still cute and Christmassy enough.

So this is what I decided to achieve with my greeting cat cards and they are now available on my Etsy shop! You will have also noticed that I'm selling them by packs of 5 at a reduced price so you can spread Christmas cheer to all your friends and family :)

You can find Christmas Elf Cat greeting card right here, and Rudolph the Red Nosed Cat this way.

I hope you like them and that they fill you with (just a little bit) of Christmas spirit, because even though we never want to admit it, the moment Autumn is here, we're all looking forward to Christmas!

I'm Launching my Etsy Shop!

Say whaaat? I told you that this super secret project I was working on was something BIG! I can't believe I finally did it! It's one of those things that you think 'One day I will do that...' and you kind of wait for it for no reason. So one morning, I thought to myself 'Why not now?' I already had the idea, I just needed to get stuck in. And when I did, I absolutely loved it!

You can now visit my Etsy shop and find 6 original birthday cards, illustrated by myself. The shop will be constantly growing and I will have some Christmas cards available very soon so make sure to spread the love!

I thought I would give you a heads up and tell you a short story behind each one of them:

I knew from the beginning of this project that I would make sure to have really different characters on each card. And being in the UK, I couldn't avoid the call of a proper royal cat. You would have thought that the crown is the main element that makes it all work, but I think the cloak was the final touch to make this lady very special.

For Miss Ballet Cat, I thought about what a little girl would like to receive as a birthday card and I think that the soft pinks and delicate tutu make it perfect (or should I say purrfect) for a sweet cute little girl.

Right, this one is all Jason's fault, but I have to say, I actually love it! I think I needed more of a crazy cat in this collection and a Catty Purry illustration definitely does the trick! Who could resist these cupcakes?!

Because I would like these greeting cards to not be exclusively for kids, I was thinking about having one that has more of a radical message. One that we could offer as a joke to one of our friends. So Jason thought I should do a black metal one! I thought I wouldn't enjoy creating this illustration much, but I actually found it really funny and I love how even the whiskers are feeling down.

Typical but oh so enjoyable! Mr Astronaut Cat was my first idea, and I knew exactly how it would look in my head. It was also the first illustration I created and that made this whole project so exciting and close to my heart. Also, it had to be a ginger cat, because the contrast with the outfit and the background is the best!

And finally, the crazy pirate with its staring eye has to be one of my favourite. It was a bit of a challenge at first to think about how I could represent him, but once I started, ideas were flowing and I think he looks pretty good. Arrr!

So here we go, after all the hard (but extremely exciting) work, I'm now ready to put it all out there and I truly hope that you like them!

Check out my Etsy shop if you haven't had a chance yet!

Thank you so much!

Portfolio Update #14 - The Amazing World of Gumball!

Hey Guys! How you all doing in this freezing cold weather? Touch wood, no flu so far in the house!

Because I wanted to try a new technique thanks to the brand new graphics tablet that Santa brought me for Christmas, I decided to create a cute little tribute to this amazing cartoon I love to watch. Seriously, if you haven't watched it yet, you NEED to.

I have to admit, I'm quite proud of myself as I didn't think I could do something like this using just Photoshop. Well, here's to more digital only illustrations!

Giveaway - Free October Wallpaper!

We're in October tomorrow, and you can definitely tell that the days have gone darker and the sun is sadly disappearing earlier each day, until you wake up in the dark and come back from the office in the dark... Although I'm not liking this aspect of Autumn, I am looking forward to the cosy weekends and the walks in the mountains amongst the fallen leaves. And there's Halloween!

So here are the new handmade wallpapers, inspired by the way I see October and its rainy weather (and I obviously had to illustrate a black cat as well, for good measure).

You can download the first version with the calendar here and the second one, more minimal, here. Don't forget to download the one for your mobile here as well!

Miaou!

... And I want to call it Gumball!

I've decided to get back into working on my personal illustrations, so what better to open my blog with than an illustration about my desperate need for a feline companion? I've just moved into a new place with my boyfriend and the only thing that's missing is a cute, cuddly cat!
