I could also add "Out of this world, jaw-dropping, unbelievable..." but it would make the title way too long ;). Honestly though, Mont St Michel is just this amazing place that you almost can't believe still exists. The first thing Jason said when he saw it from the bridge is the fact that it looks like it's straight out of a movie set.
I know it can be touristy, but it's bound to be when you know that this type of place is just standing there, on a little island in Normandie (it would possibly be in Bretagne if it wasn't for the Vikings!). You just have to visit it. I would although recommend to avoid July and August as there are just way too many tourists and the streets are very narrow (not to mention the fact that the Mont itself is quite small really!). We went just after our wedding, so around mid-September, and it was just perfect :)
Get ready for loads of photos!
Such a beautiful place! It wasn't my first time there, but I felt like I was discovering it all again because there are so many quirky little streets and corners that sometimes you feel like you're lost in a maze! I kept turning to Jason saying that I didn't remember seeing that street, or this tower, etc. So yeah, plan a whole day there if you want to take the time to explore the whole place and visit the abbey!
You do have to pay 10€ per person to visit the abbey (which is the massive building at the peak of the island) but it's all very worth it! The guided tour doesn't cost extra so we made sure to look at the schedule and arrived just on time for an English one (Jason's French is really good but it's still easier for us both to follow things in English!). It's always a good idea to follow the guided tour purely because you learn so much about the abbey and the history of the Mont, but also because there are no signs around to explain what you're looking at like you'd find in some castles and historical buildings.
Should I mention the fact that I would definitely recommend it?! I hope these photos inspire you and make you want to visit :)

Everything has to go!
I'm back from my holiday and ready to rock the end of the year! With Christmas exactly 3 months away, I thought it would be a good time to run some massive sales in my Etsy shop so that you can all stock up on some cards and posters way in advance!
I mean, you get 50% off on all my latest collection, AND, my previous collection (or what is left of it) is back too for super cheap! Whoop Whoop! And at 0,95€ the card, if it's not a bargain then I don't know what is. Yes you've guessed it, I'm getting rid of aaaaall my stock so I can start fresh whenever I'm ready. So the sales are basically going to be on until my stocks are all gone.
Check out the shop RIGHT HERE and feel free to share the news with everyone around you!
Thanks as always for your support :)

A Magical Sunset

We're now back from our time off after our wedding (!!) and whilst we're still looking at our wedding day photos and asking people around to send us theirs (it was actually quite handy to have family taking photos on their phones!), I thought I'd start sharing a few highlights from our week off/mini honeymoon.
We've loved every second of the time spent with both our families and the wedding was just perfect to us, but the time spent just the two of us afterwards was very special to me and I will definitely cherish these memories for ever.
The first amazing moment was the evening of our first day together in an Airbnb in CĂ©aux. The owner was such a nice lady and when we arrived, she told us that we shouldn't miss the opportunity to see the Mont St Michel illuminated at night as we were literally staying 10mins away from it. And she was right! We decided to go early enough so that we could catch the sunset as the sky was so clear and honestly, it felt absolutely magical. The photos don't do it justice!
The colours were beautiful and the view was unbelievable. I love the fact that we could see the moon just popping into view as the sky was getting darker.
We were just happily sitting on the water's edge, freshly married and taking it all in :)

OH, MY, GOSH! Who knew six and a half years ago that we would end up living in France together, start our own businesses and get married?! Life is truly amazing sometimes.
The funny thing is that I wasn't supposed to be working in North Wales, and therefore meet Jason. The job that I found in London dropped me last minute so that's how I ended up searching for a position anywhere in the UK and View Creative was the design company that gave me a chance. I'm so grateful for this because not only it allowed me to work 5 years as a graphic designer in a great company, but also because I got to meet the man that I'm now marrying. Life eh?!
Since the beginning of our relationship, we've been a great team, deciding things together and making life choices that we were both happy about. It hasn't been all butterflies and rainbows, and there has been a few compromises along the way, but I wouldn't change anything and these past years have definitely been the best in my life on so many levels. I'm so happy to become Jason's wife (even though it still sounds so weird haha) and I'm super excited to see where life will take us as a married couple :)
We're getting married in just a couple of days now and we're having a week off straight after so I'm obviously going to be a bit quiet over here and on social media (although I'll probably share a few photos!). Sending a lot of love your way!
