Merry Christmaaaas!

Merry Christmas guys!!! Can you believe that we're already at the end of 2016?!

Things have a been a bit hectic with the move and we were stuck in a hotel for two days before finally flying back to Nantes! It's all good now and I'm just happy that the drama is finally behind us.

For this year's festivities, I'm so happy to be back in France and spending some quality time with Jason and my family. Christmas is all about good food and good company to me and even though we already had a great Christmas Eve and our bellies are still very full from last night, we're looking forward to a massive get together at my grandparents' house today!

I hope you all have an amazing time and I'll see you in the New Year :)

We're moving to France!

You MUST know by now that we're moving to France, because to be honest, I've probably mentioned it in all my posts over the past three months! Haha.

So yes, it's finally happening and we will be flying out on the 18th of December, just in time for Christmas! We'll be enjoying some time off first with my family, but will be back to full time freelancing (and sorting out the oh-so-annoying French paperwork) from the 2nd of January. My Etsy shop has been closed for a couple of weeks so I apologise for any disappointment, but it will be open again very soon. Also, this little blog of mine will probably be a tiny bit quiet for a couple of months, but please make sure to follow me on Instagram for some updates!

It's been very odd getting rid of everything in our house as we're only taking the most important things with us (and well, shipping furniture costs you an arm), but we've enjoyed the process and we quite like the fact that we're starting from scratch. We've been living out of our suitcases for the past two weeks and it's been quite fun!

So please bear with me whilst we're getting used to our new life and eating way too many baguettes and fresh pâtisseries (I've missed them so much!).

Cheers to new beginnings!

Christmas Fair in Portmeirion

For our last proper day out in North Wales, we got some tickets for the Portmeirion's Christmas Fair and decided to go on Saturday at the opening time to make sure we wouldn't miss a thing!

You know me by now, I can't help but take shots of my surroundings, and true to form I realised I snapped more photos of the picturesque town rather than the actual fair! But hey, it's no reason for not sharing right?

You're probably wondering why you can't see that many Christmas decorations, well, that's because there weren't any! Kind of. We had such a great day over there, and it was great to walk around a Wintery Portmeirion, but if we had one thing to say, it's the fact that we were expecting more of a Winter Wonderland kind of vibe with plenty of Christmassy lights and decorations everywhere. Or at least around the stalls.

The products sold at the stalls were great though, and if we weren't moving next week, we would have been tempted to buy quite a few things! We ate our way around the town and drank our mulled cider happily. I didn't take photos of the fabulous german hot dog because it was a right mess and too delicious to stop and take photos of it! We also heard a few musicians, singers and choirs, and the one pictured above was our favourite.

When the sun came out in the afternoon, we decided to walk around the gardens and forest. The view was amazing from the hotel!

Whilst we didn't want to leave too late as Jason was driving the Capri back, I insisted on staying a little longer to see the town all illuminated in the dark. It did feel a little more Christmassy then as the couple of trees they had really stood out.

It was the second time that we visited Portmeirion (first post right here), and I can say without a doubt that I still love this place. I mean, how can you resist these colourful buildings? I would definitely recommend to visit it during Spring-Summer.

One day I'll own one of these houses ;)

FREE Printable 2017 Calendar

Happy 1st of December! Am I right to say that 2016 has been quite a tough year? Yeah, that's what I thought. Lately I've been trying to get rid of all the negativity around me and I've been concentrating on all the positivity I could find. Thanksgiving helped a lot, as even though I don't celebrate it, it was so good to scroll down my Instagram feed and witness only happiness and gratefulness.

SO, it brings me to this little freebie I put together just for you guys. I wanted to create something different that would be fun and make you smile, and I thought that a free printable calendar would be perfect! It's an A4 format, which makes it easy to print at home. You can find the link at the bottom of the page. Enjoy!

Download the calendar RIGHT HERE!

I hope you all have an amazing December and I'll definitely keep you in the loop with our big move to France!
