Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you're having a great weekend so far. I actually (finally!) used the voucher Jason bought me for my birthday last year, and I got treated to an amazing 30 minute massage at Bodysgallen Spa this morning! Soooo good :)
Now I'm more relaxed, I thought I would share the day during the bank holiday weekend when we decided to take the car for a ride and explore the mountains south of Betws-y-Coed. We ended up at this beautiful lake and the atmosphere was so peaceful that we had to stay there a while and soak it in.
The photos above were taken on the way to the lake and we stopped a few times to admire the views. I know I say it all the time, but we are so lucky to live around here!
Jason was the one holding the camera most of the time, and when I had a look at the photos we took during the day, I couldn't believe how many he managed to snap of me! I'm usually quite camera-shy :)
I think what I loved most about the lake (except of course the beautiful scenery) was the colour of the water. The hues of brown/gold/blue looked amazing, don't you think?
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Pinterest Addiction #11
Can you tell I'm loving all these Springy colours lately? It's getting warmer, the days are longer, and I'm so pleased to be waking up to a beautiful sunrise over the mountains!
Here is a little selection of my favourites pins lately:
1. I'm really into abstract paintings at the moment and this one by Hello Marine really intrigued me
2. We've been searching for a cool blanket for ages now and when I came across this blanket, I fell in love instantly
3. Well, look at these little tarts by Donna Hay! Makes me hungry just to see a photo of them :)
4. Love the fact that this packaging is so unusual! It has a nice bright and fresh feel
5. How sweet is this illustration by Marijke Buurlage?
6. I'm not really keen on a 'vert sapin' colour usually but I have to say I've got a crush on this bag!
You can of course follow me on Pinterest for more :)

Portfolio Update #17 - Pocket Guides
Hey everyone! Hope you're having a nice week so far :)
After having the pleasure of working on the Visit Llandudno brochure at View Creative (check it out HERE if you've missed it!), I was so pleased to be able to work on the pocket guides that follow the same style! It was great to create two new illustrations representing the areas around Llandudno and I truly enjoyed working on illustrations that require a lot of details (and trust me, I'm usually not that patient!)
If you live around North Wales, you'll definitely find these guides alongside other attractions' leaflets so make sure to pick some up! You'll find some great activities and places to visit in the area, along with a calendar of events for the year ahead. Plenty to do during these sunny days!

Wandering - Bodnant Garden
Bodnant Garden is one of those places that we've wanted to visit for a couple of years now but never managed to because of the price (not cheap!) or the weather (you can't visit a beautiful garden in the rain!). Luckily a few weekends ago, the sun was shining and we really wanted to explore somewhere new, so we set off for Bodnant Garden and we weren't disappointed to say the least!
I mean, it looks as if it's from some sort of dream or a film setting. One thing that we didn't realise is how big the place is! There's so much to see and explore. The gardens are obviously a big part of it, but if you carry on beyond these you find yourself in a wild forest with trees so tall that you forget where you are. Dotted here and there you can find some fabulous buildings and little bridges right out of the Lord of the Rings. In three words: I LOVED IT (just in case you didn't realise it by now).
If you would like to visit this amazing place, make sure to do it in Spring whilst the flowers are in full bloom! Website HERE for more info.
Have a great weekend!
